 Leo Akpan is a Public Health practitioner, multi-sectoral investor and co-founder of Brela Health- a digital and sustainable health financing platform that allows the low income, informal sector populace, vulnerable groups and SMEs to save up, signup affordable health insurance premiums and access quality healthcare as at when needed through technology.

His experience in the development sector, where he performs roles in Monitoring, Evaluation, Analytics, Health Systems Strengthening, Vaccination Uptake, Research and Management, spans almost 10 years. He has sectoral knowledge and experience in healthcare financing, and had interned briefly with the National Health Insurance Scheme.

Leo holds a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), majoring in Health Policy and Management from the University of Ibadan, and has Certifications in Project Management and Leadership from the University of Washington.
